I am amazed that the USFS can get away with pushing the “our forests are out of whack” myth in their own “research you can use” publication. I’ve posted one of the latest below. Low-intensity fires never kept our “western forests” open, healthy, and resilient!!! Severe fire kept MOST western conifer forests cycling through a succession of healthy, happy, and resilient post-fire stages. When will USFS messengers ever learn some basic fire ecology?
